CBF Takes Legal Action to Stop Cuffs Run Hydroelectric Dam
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) is considering whether to allow further study for a large pump storage hydroelectric facility on a tributary of the great Susquehanna River. The facility would dam on a unique small stream, Cuffs Run, to create a large 580-acre reservoir. Water from the Susquehanna River would be pumped to fill the reservoir.
But creating this pool would flood hundreds of acres of valuable farmland, fields, and forest, thereby destroying vital wildlife habitat-including half a mile of natural trout stream-and displacing nearby residents.

Striped Bass Are in Trouble. You Can Help.
Просмотров 6357 месяцев назад
The latest survey results show that for the fifth consecutive year, young-of-year striped bass (aka "rockfish" or "stripers") numbers remain far below average in Maryland and low in Virginia as well. Low numbers of young fish now mean in the future there will be fewer of the large fish prized by anglers and important for reproduction of the species. In response to this disturbing trend, the Atl...

Your favorite oyster knife is call a Boston style(my preferred OK as well) but I also favor the Chesapeake stabber as well…just trying to refresh my memory…the little table is a novel idea, havnt seen that before… great vid bro… I do use the OK to flick away shell debris …I also have seen a shucker flip the oyster when finished in the cup(it gives it a fuller presence in the shell), looked good and I’ll be giving that a try….TY4Posting

Oysters filter pollutants by consuming them or shaping them into small packets, which are deposited on the bottom of the bay where they are not harmful.
